Prepared all the ingredients and Materials:

Gloved and goggles on.
Hotplate placed in Fume Hood.
Measured out 45g of Spike Lavender Oil in 250ml Beaker
Measured out 15g of Sandarac
Turmeric Extract pigment (Terra Merita)
Placed thermometer nearby.
Chopsticks for stirring
Prepared 100ml beaker for later use
Palet knives for handling the terra merita "goo" later on.

Started heating the oil. 22.6°C

136°C. Added the sandarac

150°C. Very liquid at this temperature. Once removed from heat becomes very viscous very fast.
Heated for one more minute. Sandarac is completely melted.
Removed from heat. Some impurities at the bottom from the sandarac.
